With heavy hearts and profound respect, we announce the passing of Dale Christopher Kelly, known fondly as Chris, a cherished member of our community and the esteemed former owner of Kelly Insurance Agency in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Dale departed this world on February 19, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, integrity, and unparalleled dedication to his craft.
Born on November 4, 1949, in Akron, Ohio, Chris was the embodiment of the American spirit—hardworking, compassionate, and endlessly devoted to his family and friends. Following in the footsteps of his parents, Douglas Waldo Kelly and Mary Jane Price Kelly, Chris became a second-generation insurance agent, instilling within him a deep sense of pride for his profession and a genuine commitment to serving his clients with excellence.
Though Chris’ tenure at Kelly Insurance Agency spanned over three decades ago, his impact remains palpable to this day. Customers still fondly recall his charisma, his ability to spin captivating tales, and his unwavering dedication to ensuring their well-being. Chris’ legacy transcends time, as his contributions continue to resonate within the fabric of our agency and the hearts of those he served.
Beyond his professional achievements, Chris was a man of many passions. From his love for family to his dedication to Alcoholics Anonymous, where he found solace and shared his story with others, Chris’ life was a testament to the power of resilience and the importance of lending a helping hand to those in need. His love for music, particularly his talent as a studio musician and guitarist, brought joy to countless lives, echoing the melody of his soulful spirit.
Chris leaves behind a legacy of love and inspiration, carried on by his beloved wife, Rene Kelly, his children Tonya, Tyra, Tiffany, and Christopher, as well as his nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. While we mourn his passing, we take solace in the knowledge that Chrsis’ memory will endure through the countless lives he touched and the indelible mark he left on our hearts.
In honoring Chris’ wishes, we will hold a celebration of life service at a later date, where we will come together to celebrate the extraordinary life of a remarkable man. As we bid farewell to Chris Kelly, let us cherish the memories we shared, the lessons he imparted, and the legacy of kindness and compassion he leaves behind.
